These Terms and Conditions for Sellers are part of our Legal Notice and Terms & Conditions. By opening a store on Renue, you agree to these Terms and Conditions as well as our Legal Notice.

What is Renue?
Renue is an online platform aimed at connecting sustainable brands with buyers interested in responsible, ethical products and supporting brands with their digital sales. Our focus is on promoting brands that align with the three main principles of sustainability: environmental, social, and economic.
As a seller on Renue, you can offer your products directly to consumers who value and seek products that align with their principles. We focus on products that meet criteria such as being ecological, ethical, and transparent regarding their materials, ingredients, and production processes.
Our objective is twofold: to facilitate the transition to more responsible consumption habits and help spread the importance of making well-informed purchase decisions, as well as to support and give visibility to all European brands trying to make a positive impact from the ground up.
Renue acts as an intermediary platform. When a consumer purchases one of your products, they enter into a direct agreement with you as the seller. You determine the sale price, shipping costs, delivery time, available shipping methods, and any other applicable purchase conditions, including return options (always complying with European regulations). The consumer accepts these conditions when making their purchase.
Our activities can be legally considered an intermediary service, and by selling your products through our platform, you expressly accept that we act as an intermediary between both parties. This means we operate impartially between both parties, without any conflicting interest. We charge a service fee to brands, and in the future, we will apply a percentage of the purchase price.
If we at any point offer or deliver products directly as Renue, this will be clearly indicated on our platform.
Who do these terms and conditions apply to?
If you are a brand using our platform to sell your products, these terms and conditions apply to you. Buyers have their own terms and conditions. We want our community to consist of real people. Fake accounts are not allowed, and you must register with your real name and a valid email address. You can add more users to manage your account, but you will be fully responsible for everything that these individuals do on your behalf.
These terms govern any use of our platform and services, and by registering, you agree to these terms, along with our privacy policies and community guidelines. Both represent our values and are an integral part of these terms and conditions, as are all other documents referenced herein.
All related documents are available during the registration process when you sign up on Renue as a seller, for you to review, download, or print. You can also easily access them on our website, or even request them via email.
What are the requirements for selling on Renue?
Renue is a platform dedicated to responsible brands and products. Our buyers seek to purchase products that support a more sustainable lifestyle. For this reason, we demand complete transparency and accuracy in the information provided about the products and their sustainability attributes. We do not tolerate misleading information or greenwashing practices. Everything sold on Renue must comply with our Sustainability Criteria, and we want to help you meet our sustainability criteria and are at your disposal to resolve any questions or provide advice at any time.
When selling on Renue, you accept that:
Product Review: We reserve the right to review your listings and remove them if they do not comply with Renue’s Sustainability Criteria. To be accepted, a product must meet all major sustainability criteria and at least one relevant sub-criterion.
Transparency: You must provide truthful and complete information about your materials’ origin, manufacturing process, shipping method, and why your products or services are sustainable. You should also detail any seals (if you have them) or environmental and social attributes that support your offering.
Original Photographs: You must use your own images or videos that accurately represent the products, without resorting to image banks or photos from other sellers.
Fixed Prices: All products must have a fixed price. Auctioning and negotiation are not allowed on our platform.
What can’t you sell on Renue?
Once a brand can publish products and/or services on Renue, it will have passed our sustainability verification. Listings are not subject to prior approval because we trust in the individual responsibility of our sellers, but we will randomly review the listings keeping in mind our sustainability criteria. If we detect a breach, we will notify you and give you the opportunity to correct it. If necessary, you will need to provide the relevant documentation or evidence.
Renue reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these criteria or our policies. Please note that membership fees are non-refundable.
In case of serious non-compliance, we reserve the right to immediately terminate your account and remove all associated products and services from the platform.
How to manage your store on Renue?
Your store on Renue is an extension of your brand within our sustainable community, and it must represent it accurately and honestly.
When managing your store, you commit to:
Accurate Information: Provide truthful and complete descriptions of your products/services, their images, and shipping, refund, and cancellation policies.
Legal Compliance: Ensure that your offering complies with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to taxes, consumer rights, data protection, and safety regulations. Sellers on Renue must ensure that their return and cancellation policies comply with the regulations of both the European Union and their respective countries, in addition to the laws of the countries where their buyers are located. The platform follows the general European regulation regarding the right of withdrawal, without prejudice to local regulations that may apply to specific products, such as personalised or perishable items, or digital content.
Original Content: Use your own images and videos. It is prohibited to include watermarks or third-party content.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to messages promptly, and resolve any disagreements or conflicts directly with buyers. In the unlikely event that you do not find a solution, the Renue team will attempt to mediate.
Information Update: Keep prices, delivery methods, estimated times, and return policies up to date. If you cannot fulfil an order, you must notify the buyer and cancel it immediately. In this case, the seller must issue a full refund. It is recommended to keep proof of any refund in case a conflict arises.
Payment and Commissions: Payments for sales are processed through Stripe, our external payment service provider, and initially, only the processing fee charged directly by the payment service provider will apply. In the future, we will apply a sales commission, in addition to the monthly fee, and notify brands at least 1 month in advance.
Breaches: Renue reserves the right to suspend or close your account in case of rule violations and does not assume responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided by sellers.
Review System: Buyers will be able to rate your store and products after each purchase. Respond objectively and respectfully to all communications related to reviews, and avoid making insults or unjustified derogatory comments. Responses must not contain private information, advertising, or spam. It is prohibited for brands to self-rate or ask others to do so on their behalf. If you consider that a review is incorrect, you can contact us, and we will decide if it should be removed or maintained.
Renue assumes no responsibility for the accuracy, labelling, or content of sellers’ listings. If we detect any problems in the management of your store, we will first try to contact you to resolve any situation. Please note that the main objective is to support our sellers in their growth!
What types of communications with Renue buyers and users exist?
Communication Methods: As a seller, you commit to maintaining clear and effective communication with Renue users and buyers. You can use the Renue platform or enter in direct contact with the buyer to respond to queries, manage orders, and provide updates on the status of shipments.
Responses to Queries: You are expected to respond to buyers’ questions within a reasonable time. Timely communication is key to ensuring a good shopping experience and fostering trust in your store.
Conflict Resolution: In case of disagreements with buyers, you must try to resolve the situation directly and amicably. If no agreement is reached, Renue will offer a mediation service to help find a solution.
Communication Content: All content shared with buyers must be respectful, accurate, and not contain misleading information. Brands should not make disrespectful comments about other sellers or their products, nor send unsolicited advertising or promotions, donation requests, or unwanted messages.
What are the fee and payment policies?
Fee Structure: For contracting and using Renue’s services, a membership fee associated with listing, selling, advertising, and other services on Renue applies and will be communicated to sellers upon registration. In the future, a commission on sales will be implemented, which will be communicated at least one month in advance. By opening a store on our platform, you accept our terms and conditions and the fee and payment policy.
Membership Fee: The membership is paid at the start of the membership period. Listings on Renue never expire, but we reserve the right to suspend them when we notice a store has been inactive for more than 6 months after contacting the brand. It is important to note that memberships are non-refundable, even if you haven’t used all the functionalities and capabilities of our platform, and whether your advertised products sell or not. Renue will automatically renew your membership when the period ends unless you deactivate your membership in advance. You can view the auto-renewal status in your profile manager in the membership section and cancel auto-renewals whenever you want by selecting “Cancel”.
Payment Methods: Payments for sales will be processed through Stripe, our external payment service provider. To receive payment, you must create an account with Stripe. Please use the functionality in your account on our platform to do so or connect it with your account if you already have one. Make sure to provide correct and up-to-date payment information to avoid delays in receiving funds.
Billing and Refunds: All sellers are responsible for billing and any possible refunds that need to be made to buyers, in accordance with the return and refund policies they have established.
Taxes and Regulations: As a seller, it is your responsibility to comply with all applicable tax obligations, including collecting and remitting sales taxes as necessary. All applicable taxes must be included in the price of your listings.
Fee Evasion: Encouraging buyers to purchase an item from your store on Renue through another place is considered fee evasion and is prohibited. A transaction that started on Renue cannot be completed outside of Renue.
Fee Information: Applicable fees will be communicated transparently and published on the Renue platform. Any changes to fees will be notified in advance so that sellers can make informed decisions.
What are my additional responsibilities as a seller?
As a brand vendor on the Renue platform, you take on additional responsibilities that are crucial to the proper functioning of our community. We list some important provisions to ensure the smooth operation of our platform and the protection of everyone involved:
Data Protection: You are responsible for protecting the personal information of buyers you receive. You must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws, acting as an independent data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This includes adequately managing access, correction, and deletion requests. You agree to indemnify and hold Renue harmless from any third-party claims related to your processing of personal data.
Intellectual Property: The intellectual property of your brands will always remain with you. However, you grant us permission to use your logo, images, and content to promote our platform and help promote your products. This use is limited to activities that benefit both parties.
Warranties: At Renue, we strive to keep the platform available and functional at all times. However, we cannot guarantee that its use will be uninterrupted, safe, or error-free. While we do everything possible to ensure optimal service, we will not be liable for any losses or damages that may arise in connection with the use of the platform.
Indemnification: By interacting on our platform, you agree to indemnify and hold Renue harmless from any third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms, including claims for intellectual property infringements, illegal acts, or breaches of consumer contracts.
Actions in case of non-compliance: Our objective is always to work with you to resolve any issues. However, if we suspect you have violated these terms, we reserve the right to remove your listings, suspend, or terminate your account. We will inform you of the reason for our actions. We will not terminate your account without prior notice, and if the breach can be corrected, we will give you a reasonable time to do so. We are not responsible for damages resulting from actions taken due to your non-compliance with these terms.
Other legal provisions: Any provision of these terms that is deemed invalid or unenforceable will not affect the validity of the others. It is important to note that you will not be able to transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to any other party without obtaining our prior written consent. This ensures that the relationship we have established remains clear and consistent, and allows us to continue providing quality service and trust to all our users.
Legal Terms and Dispute Resolution
Law and Disputes: These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes related to these terms will be resolved in the corresponding jurisdiction in the Netherlands, which offers a high level of protection for consumers and data.
Modifications to these terms: Renue reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be published on the platform, and if they significantly affect your rights, we will notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. During this time, you will have the right to review the changes and may cancel your account if you disagree. However, you can cancel your account or subscription at any time according to these terms.
Limitations of Liability: We work to ensure that any problem is resolved with the least amount of inconvenience to all parties involved. Renue will not be liable for indirect losses or damages that may arise in connection with the use of the platform, including loss of data or files.

Renue seeks at all times to provide clarity and support in complying with applicable laws for the sale of sustainable products, both for brands and consumers.
